I travel and do a lot of
speaking in front of CPAs and accountants who consistently ask
me this question...
“Troy, How Do I
Go About Finding New, Solid Paying Clients For My Practice ?”
Why do they ask me?
Because I spent a lot of TIME AND MONEY asking myself that
question when I started out in my own business.
If you don't know my story, here
it is in a nutshell.
Many years ago I started and
grew a one man operation into a 10 office, $6 million
dollar accounting firm.
At the beginning, when I was by
myself I spent (wasted is a better word) a gob of time
and money trying just about everything to get clients to hire me.
Nothing worked.
In fact it was so bad that I
was down to literally my last couple of bucks in my checking
account.
My choices were to FIGURE "IT"
OUT if I was going to be on my own, OR go back and find a
company to hire me.
Luckily I ran across and
quickly learned a SYSTEM for bringing on new clients - and
implemented it!
Clients started coming in and my
practice started to grow.
Soon I was busy enough had to
hire people to help me. From there I started testing
other PRACTICE BUILDING principles, tools and strategies.
Ultimately I had built and put
in place a nice SYSTEM that took my one office into 2, then 3
and ultimately 10 offices!

Here's The
Secret I Learned Along The Way...
There's NO SINGLE SILVER
BULLET Solution!
A lot of accountants who
struggle with building their practice mistakenly think there's
ONE SECRET THING all the other successful accountants
do to grow their practices.
Is it the other firm's web
site? Is it something the other firm's owner says
on the phone to prospective clients? Is it the ad
they run in the paper that makes the difference?
The answer is NO. It's
NEVER just one thing. The truth (and my experience)
is that it's actually SEVERAL DIFFERENT YET RELATED things you
need to create, implement and manage to have both short
and long term CLIENT growth.
If you scroll back up a little
and look at the schedule of my 7-Hour One-Day Workshop
you'll actually SEE SEVEN different yet related activities,
strategies and tools you should be using TODAY in your
practice to GROW it like I did mine.

Here's What You'll Learn In The Workshop:
Whether you're just getting
started in your practice of a seasoned veteran, these are the
topics I'll teach that you can take back and apply in your
practice:
How to
ACQUIRE Another Practice - Early in my career I
opened other offices. Then I found going out and BUYING
another CPA's firm was an effective alternative. I'll
teach you the Acquisition Basics.
MARKETING
You, Your Services & Practice -

off the street and hire you. You need a SYSTEM
to contact them.
I'll explain my process to find & persuade people to
hire you.
SELLING to Professionals

steady clients that can afford higher fees. I'll
explain how to pick
up their monthly, quarterly or annual accounting work.
BUSINESS VALUATIONS
-
I'll teach you how to earn
$300-$500 per
hour net profit, doing 9 types of Business Valuations

INVESTMENT
Profits - I this session I explain how to use the
"trusted advisor" relationship you already have with your
clients to sell investments & financial services to them.
Lead
Generation SEMINARS (that actually work!) - In this
topic I'll walk you through how to structure and hold
physical seminars to attract potential new clients,
weeding out the Plate Lickers.
PLAN
Execution & Goals - Here's how to go out and
methodically execute your PLAN for targeting,
attracting & acquiring new Clients and set goals so you stay
focused & reach them.
As I said before, when I didn't
know any better as a newbie accountant, I first thought
clients and companies would naturally SEEK ME OUT and hire me
JUST because I was a good accountant.
Maybe back in the 1950's and
60's you could put out a shingle and voila, here come the
clients! As you know, that rarely happens today.
There's just TOO MANY accountants in most parts of the
country. Too much competition!!
To grow your practice you not
only need to stand apart from the crowd, you need a Strategy
combined with Tools to put SYSTEMS in place that allow you to
systematically find new clients,
persuade them to hire you, keep them for the long term and
repeat the process over and over on a weekly basis.
The topics I'll be covering in
the workshop will teach you these things. AND you'll
have the benefit of SAVING the countless HOURS, DAYS, WEEKS and
MONTHS I spent trying to figure it out on my own, condensed
into a DAY so you can save your valuable TIME and MONEY doing
things the right way the first time!
